📍 A Career Fair Built Around the Trades

The Technical Education Center is KCKCC's hands-on campus, and its career fair has followed that lead. Last fall's listed focus areas ran from welding, HVAC, automotive and collision repair, electrical technology, industrial maintenance and construction to medical assisting, CNA and culinary arts, and this year should draw a similar mix. Employers come looking for people who can work a shop floor, a job site or a service bay, and in past years some have interviewed on the spot.

The college's official event listing confirms the date, time and address, and the fair also appears on the state's KANSASWORKS events calendar. KCKCC hasn't posted an employer count or roster for this year. Last fall's fair drew more than 90 employers, according to the college, but treat that as last year's number, not a promise for this one.

⚠️ Read This Before You Go

The 2026 listing doesn't say who can attend. In past years the fair was open to KCKCC students, alumni and community members, and it's listed on the public KANSASWORKS calendar, so non-students should be welcome. Still, if you aren't enrolled at KCKCC, call Career Services at 913-288-7235 or email careerservices@kckcc.edu before you make the drive. Registration runs through Handshake, the college's career platform, so check the event page early in case employers want you signed in.

Cost isn't listed. The fair ends at 12:30, so come early.

📋 How to Show Up Ready
